Outreach

All outreach programs are done with the healthy cooperation of the community from our country and abroad. These programs are only continued according to funds available. Thus far the Ashram has continued with the Hot Meal distribution and Food hampers. Our Gratitude to our dedicated and devoted donors and sponsors.

The trust serves the community in varies ways.

The Feeding Scheme

Hot Meal Distribution are done as and when members of the community sponsor as Seva .We found that distributing a hamper will be more helpful to the needy families because they would have food for many weeks. The value of food hampers are R400 or more this means this amounts to a lot to very needy families.

Devotees, well wishers and patrons sponsor hot meals on their birthdays or in memory of their beloved ones. This makes a big difference in the world of the needy. Devotees, well wishers and patrons speak to their friends and family members for sponsorship who contact the ashram.

Grocery Hamper Distribution

Family Grocery Hampers together with breakfast packs are done every month depending on the availability of funds in the trust. On special occurrence like diwali and christmas, food hampers are distributed to the needy families. These families are scrutinized by members of the community appointed by the organization. We also get full co-operation from the welfare organizations who give us a list of names who in desperate organization who give us a list of names who are in desperate need.

Stationery Packs

Resources for students

With Covid leaving many households without an income makes it very difficult for children to continue their studies for lack of stationery and uniforms thus the ashram has started a drive for educational packs as per the needs of the child .Our friends,  devotees and well wishers speak to companies that print stationery and other contributions for pens and other requirements. The trust is passionate to support education which is the greatest gift that a child can have. Arrangements are made with the school principle with the date time so that the officials of the ashram hand it personally to each student. During winter we also get sponsor for warm clothes and shoes to which we distribute to the most deserving children in the school. These children are verified by the principle and teachers and a list on names of each child and their sizes are given to the ashram.

GARDENING PROJECT

Sustaining the community

A community gardening project was started by Swamiji at the Ashram on a small plot were many varieties of seasonal vegetables are grown .Whatever vegetables are grown are distributed to needy families in the surrounding areas. Swamiji is guided by professional organic farmers who also support him by contributing in the different mixtures of manure, earthworms, and micro-organisms.
