Education
Education received in the ashram is different from schools and universities. It teaches the science of life and living which amounts to character building and virtuous living. It teaches values by which one ascends the ladder of evolution and ultimately becomes a philanthropic minded person. All the knowledge acquired in the ashram makes a person to rise himself by himself by taking full responsibility in his life. His body is taken care by good eating habits and his mind is engineered by banking positive thoughts and values, hence he becomes an enlightened soul that allures people to brighter worlds.
• Public Lectures
The public lectures were conducted regularly and mostly by Swami Lokasangrahananda Sister Logie Pandaram has given talks at large gatherings on special occasions Public lectures are accepted by invitation. Swamiji conducts weekly classes at the following venues: • Chinna Thirupathi Temple in Belvedere Tongaat • Sri Veeraboga Emperumal Temple, Gandhi’s Hill Tongaat These lectures are on hold due to the pandemic. All lectures will soon start again.
Youth Empowerment
Youth programs are scheduled during school holidays, especially in June during winter. The 2 day program is varied in activity, The program allows the children to learn about themselves by learning about others through programs like yoga camps and nature walks cleaning of our beaches, helping our environment by planting trees. This program is about respect for yourself and for others, by instilling these values in our youth, we not only empower them but the communities they come from.
Sathana Camp
Personal development and youth empowerment.
Sathana camp are held for students in the winter and summer holidays.
First Day activity at the Ashram
• Yoga & Pranayama • Talks on Time Management, • Effective Speaking • Confidence building, • Career Choices • Technique on CPR - How to handle an emergency at home
The 2nd day is an outdoor program
Beach Hike • Visit to University of KZN • Hare Krishna Temple • Visit to the Isipingo Gowshala • Satsang at Chinmaya Mission Chatsworth • Visit to the Rising Sun Newsroom and Printing press. Parents will decide the participation of their child. • Able to pass on this knowledge of being a more enlighten being.
Music Classes
We teach music to beginners, we teach devotional songs, harmonium playing and tabla lessons for beginners. We encourage members of the community who are well versed in music to come and teach us.

Vasant Panchami, Also Called Saraswati Puja In Honor Of The Hindu Goddess Saraswati, Is A Festival That Marks The Preparation For The Arrival Of Spring
The Festival Celebrates The Descent Of Vishnu As The Rama Avatar, Through His Birth To King Dasharatha And Queen Kausalya In Ayodhya. The Festival Is A Part Of The Spring (Vasanta) Navratri, And Falls On The Ninth Day Of The Bright Half (Shukla Paksha) Of Chaitra, The First Month In The Hindu Calendar. Ramayana Week Begins Nine Days Before Ram Navami, The Birthday Of Lord Rama.
Akshaya Tritiya Day Is Ruled By Lord Vishnu. On This Day, Lakshminarayana Form Of Lord Vishnu Is Worshipped Along With His Consort Goddess Lakshmi. Devotees Observe A Day-Long Fast On The Significant Day Of Akshaya Tritiya.

RELIGIOUS EVENTS
All prayers and worship in accordance with the Hindu calendar are observed for most occasions, taking into account of the South African Indian community’s spiritual need. This field of activity has been included so that prayer, worship and a deeper understanding of Spirituality can be given with a Vedantic perspective.
